Turmeric & Vanilla Bean French Toast

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Stardust- Turmeric Spice Pack
  • 4 piecesof Texas toast or thick sliced brioche-style bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Vanilla Bean Pod: Prepare the vanilla bean pod located inside the Stardust – Turmeric Spice Pack by cutting the vanilla bean pod straight down the middle of one side and scraping out the contents.   • Egg Mixture: Mix the eggs, milk ,turmeric packet from Stardust - Turmeric Spice Pack, granulated sugar, vanilla bean, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Include the empty vanilla pod and star anise in the mixture for added aromatic flavor.
  • Heat Griddle or Pan: Heat a nonstick griddle or pan over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.
  • Soak the Bread: Dip each piece of Texas toast or brioche-style bread into the egg and spice mixture. Allow it to soak for about 10 seconds on each side.
  • Cook on Griddle: Place the soaked bread directly onto the melted butter on the griddle. Cook until each side is golden brown, typically 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Dust with Sugar and Cinnamon: Once both sides are golden brown, remove the French toast and lightly sprinkle each piece with powdered sugar and remaining cinnamon.
  • Garnish: Garnish the French toast with cinnamon sticks for a decorative touch.
